Agropur Helps Promote Domestic Violence Awareness
with a Donation to Jurnie’s Shelter
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Weyauwega, Wisconsin December 20, 2017 - Agropur, a leading provider of cheese and dairy products and proponent of domestic violence awareness is giving back to the community with a donation of $4300 to establishing Jurnie’s Shelter, a domestic violence emergency shelter for victims and families of Waupaca County and surrounding communities.
The Jurnie's Shelter will provide shelter, education and counseling for you and your children who have been affected by domestic violence. It is our goal to help you to break the cycle that exists in domestic violence victims and help to remind you that the strength that you already have made you a survivor. Jurnie’s Shelter began a capital campaign in 2010 seeking financial donations and volunteers to establish an emergency shelter for victims and families of domestic violence in Waupaca County and surrounding communities. Through the generous donation of Agropur employees we are one step closer to being able to purchase and renovate and begin providing safe housing for victims and their families.
Accepting the donation were Board President, Dr Jenna Linskens (Hortonville), Secretary and Treasurer, Ms Leah DeShaney (Neenah), and members-at-large Mr Mark Davies (Wild Rose) and Ms Darla Waite (Manawa).
